Facilities Technician

What you will do

• Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, doors, and general building systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests, equipment faults, and facility emergencies.
• Troubleshoot building and equipment issues and implement corrective and preventive maintenance solutions.
• Perform painting, basic carpentry, minor construction, space setup, and equipment installation tasks.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors to ensure safe, timely, and compliant work.
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and inventories of tools, spare parts, and consumables.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related technical role.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and basic technical drawings.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Basic computer skills, strong troubleshooting ability, independence, communication, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.

Nice to have

• Trade certification in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of building regulations, environmental requirements, and compliance standards.
