Energy & Utilities Engineer (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at Grange Castle, Dublin, Ireland. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Ireland. No relocation support is available.

What you will do

• Provide engineering support for chilled water, steam and condensate, compressed air, HVAC, pharmaceutical water, clean steam, heat recovery, and related distribution systems.
• Monitor utility capacity, reliability, energy consumption, operating parameters, and equipment efficiency.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause investigations, resolving recurring equipment and energy performance issues with operations and maintenance teams.
• Deliver utility and energy projects from concept and design review through installation, commissioning, start-up, qualification, and handover.
• Review contractor designs, calculations, drawings, method statements, vendor documentation, FAT, SAT, test scripts, punch lists, and handover records.
• Develop reliability, lifecycle planning, energy optimization, metering, monitoring, control, dashboard, and continuous improvement solutions.

Requirements

• Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Energy, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Typically 3–5+ years of experience in industrial utilities, facilities engineering, energy engineering, or process engineering.
• Strong knowledge of industrial utility systems and associated equipment.
• Experience delivering CAPEX and OPEX engineering projects and commissioning industrial equipment or utility systems.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, technical problem-solving, and technical data interpretation skills.
• Legal eligibility to work in Ireland is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of chillers, cooling towers, boilers, heat exchangers, compressors, pumps, HVAC, and heat recovery systems.
• Experience with CMMS, BMS, SCADA, EMS, data historians, Power BI, or digital reporting platforms.
• Experience with utility qualification, commissioning documentation, change control, or energy management.
