What you will do

  • Lead the maintenance department and minimize plant equipment downtime through effective repair and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate maintenance priorities with production requirements, department managers, and production scheduling.
  • Develop reliability and asset productivity programs focused on uptime, mechanical integrity, and reliability engineering.
  • Manage vendors, bids, maintenance projects, budgets, MRO inventory, facility services, grounds maintenance, janitorial resources, catering, and vending services.
  • Enforce safety procedures and compliance with applicable state and federal requirements, including ARC Flash, LOTO, and HAZMAT standards.
  • Supervise the maintenance team, including recruiting, performance reviews, skills assessments, training, and development.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of maintenance engineering experience with industrial facilities and equipment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a technical field, or equivalent experience is desired.
  • Experience leading high-performance cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
  • Experience with process control and new product introduction technologies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, planning, and administrative skills.
  • Strong experience with Lean or Six Sigma tools, including kaizen leadership, TPM, uptime, safety, and 6S initiatives.

Nice to have

  • Wire and cable manufacturing experience.
  • Strong record of Lean Sigma implementation.
