IT Business Analyst - Payments (Fintech)

What you will do

• Interpret, clarify, and refine business requirements and product backlogs.
• Design and validate technical solution options with developers and Product Owners.
• Write technical specifications and user stories, estimate complexity, and translate business needs into functional specifications.
• Lead requirements, process definition, and design sessions with product owners, system owners, decision-makers, and end users.
• Ensure software quality by addressing security, performance, availability, scalability, and quality assurance requirements.
• Create, execute, and automate functional, integration, user acceptance, production, and smoke tests; provide documentation, training, and technical support.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in banking, preferably with core banking systems and payments.
• Experience with APIs, including CABI or AMS API, and hands-on core banking systems experience.
• Knowledge of relational databases, preferably Oracle, and SQL.
• Understanding of microservice architecture, self-contained systems, ITIL processes, and agile and non-agile projects.
• Experience with provider management, governance, and regulatory requirements.
• English is required; a completed degree in business informatics, business administration, or an equivalent qualification is expected.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of payments, including SEPA and SWIFT.
• Knowledge of ISO 20022 and SWIFT MT/MX financial messaging protocols.
• Experience with automation frameworks.
• German language skills.
