Senior Counsel, International, FTC (Media Law)

hirify.global is a media and entertainment company operating brands across political news, business news, finance, golf, sports, and genre entertainment, including CNBC and MS NOW.

What you will do

• Provide commercial legal support for CNBC and MS NOW content licensing, programming acquisitions, production, sponsorship, and branded partnership agreements.
• Draft and negotiate venue, vendor, sponsorship, licensing, and marketing agreements for global news events and activities.
• Advise marketing teams on marketing messages, consumer protection regulations, and the international rollout of direct-to-consumer products.
• Provide media law, fair dealing, broadcast regulation, and compliance advice, serving as the point person for Ofcom, IMDA, and other European regulatory queries.
• Work with legal teams in London, Singapore, New York, and across data privacy, intellectual property, compliance, standards, risk, insurance, and litigation.
• Support the transition to AI-assisted drafting and new contract life-management platforms while line-managing one direct report.

Requirements

• At least five years of legal experience in commercial transactions and qualification as a lawyer in good standing.
• Significant experience drafting and negotiating contracts, including content licensing, production, and sponsorship agreements.
• Experience in TMT, media, events, private practice, or a strong in-house legal team.
• Experience with data privacy, media regulation, and ad tech; familiarity with the Ofcom Broadcasting Code is desirable.
• Strong written and oral communication, commercial judgment, negotiation, presentation, and practical legal advisory skills.
• Must be willing to work in London and hold unrestricted work authorization for the United Kingdom.

• Private-practice experience within a TMT team.
• Experience advising on the Ofcom Broadcasting Code.
• Strong academic record from a top-tier law school.
