TL;DR
Sr. Associate Counsel (Commercial and Corporate Law): Providing legal advice and supporting Visa's CEMEA business through commercial contracting, regulatory guidance, product launches, and corporate compliance with an accent on contract drafting, negotiation, and legal risk judgment. Focus on advising Digital Sales, Marketing, Sourcing, and regional subsidiaries, adapting legal documents to local requirements, and managing complex legal matters across multiple jurisdictions.
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates; at least 4 days per week in the office

What you will do
- Draft, negotiate, and review commercial contracts and other legally binding documents, including templates and standard documents adapted to local requirements.
- Support the Digital Sales team with contract templates and contracting matters.
- Advise Marketing on campaigns, promotions, sponsorships, and commercial agreements.
- Support Sourcing with supplier and vendor contracts and manage internal approval processes.
- Advise on product development partnerships, corporate filings, compliance requirements, and entity changes across the region.
- Provide legal guidance to CEMEA teams and support strategic initiatives, policies, and processes.
Requirements
- Law degree and legal qualification.
- Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience with an international law firm or multinational organization.
- Commercial and corporate law experience with strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English and strong communication skills.
- Strong legal analysis, commercial judgment, risk assessment, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a dynamic, deadline-oriented, multinational environment.
Nice to have
- Experience in banking, information technology, or the payments industry.
- Experience working in a US, multinational, or highly matrixed organization.
- Strong skills working with AI tools.
