Commercial Lawyer

Location: Belfast, United Kingdom; hybrid with at least three days per week in the office

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate client agreements and related legal documentation.
• Act as an escalation point for the commercial paralegal team and provide technical feedback.
• Maintain and update template agreements with the commercial paralegal team.
• Support internal legal projects and wider commercial matters.
• Maintain current legal knowledge and help ensure compliance with policies and legislation.

Requirements

• 2–3 years’ post-qualification experience and qualification as a solicitor in England and Wales or an equivalent common law jurisdiction.
• Experience in a professional services firm, financial services organisation, or law firm.
• Strong document drafting, communication, negotiation, and commercial skills.
• Ability to deliver clear, pragmatic legal solutions and manage expectations effectively.
• Availability to work from the Belfast office at least three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with commercial contracts, intellectual property, digital technology matters, or vendor contracts.
• Experience supervising junior team members or paralegals and handling contractual escalations.
• Experience working with data protection legislation and negotiating data processing agreements.
