Senior Financial Data Analyst

Location: Hybrid in Reston, Virginia, with an onsite expectation of 3–5 days per week; local candidates preferred.

Salary: $85,100–$110,000 annually

What you will do

• Perform comprehensive financial data analysis focused on capital-related reporting and insights.
• Query and analyze large, complex datasets using SQL.
• Interpret financial and accounting data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Communicate analysis results to technical and business stakeholders.
• Analyze derivatives and hedge accounting with an emphasis on Basel regulatory capital requirements and ERCF.
• Deliver reports independently in a regulated financial services environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a data analyst in financial services.
• Strong SQL skills and experience querying large, complex datasets.
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate financial data effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of derivatives and hedge accounting.
• Familiarity with Basel regulatory capital requirements and ERCF.
