Senior Systems/Data Analyst (Data Analytics)

Location: Springfield, Virginia, United States; remote work is available only within commutable distance of the DMV

What you will do

• Support the full product development lifecycle, from stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering through solution design, testing, deployment, enhancement, and sustainment.
• Translate business, operational, and user requirements into scalable, reliable, data-driven technical solutions.
• Act as a technical liaison between stakeholders, UI/UX professionals, software developers, data engineers, and infrastructure teams.
• Design and support database structures, data models, SQL queries, tables, views, stored procedures, data pipelines, and integration workflows.
• Support data engineering initiatives involving data lakes, Data Fabric architecture, cloud-based data platforms, and enterprise analytics environments.
• Perform system integration, testing, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, performance optimization, deployment support, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a relevant STEM field.
• 10+ years of professional experience in data analysis, assessment, and reporting.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL queries, stored procedures, views, tables, data pipelines, and integration workflows using Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redshift, or similar technologies.
• Experience with data lakes, Data Fabric architecture, ETL/ELT processes, reporting tools, dashboards, business intelligence, and cloud-based data environments.
• Experience leading mission-critical technical projects from solution design through deployment and sustainment.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust government clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting the Federal Government, particularly the Department of Homeland Security.
