Investment Data Analyst (Investment Management)

Location: Boston, MA, United States; hybrid work environment with remote and onsite work.

Base salary: $123,000–$177,500 per year, plus eligibility for an incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Identify, analyze, track, and resolve investment data quality and accuracy issues, including complex root causes.
• Manage and prioritize data quality backlogs and requests using stakeholder input and risk mitigation principles.
• Document data flows and dependencies, maintain data lineage, resolve ambiguities, and perform data quality impact analysis.
• Coordinate resolution paths and work with Operations, Technology, Distribution, Legal, and Compliance.
• Support strategic data initiatives through requirements gathering, testing, business support, and data package development.
• Improve data management processes, standardization activities, quality dashboards, policies, and reporting standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance, computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field.
• 6–8+ years of investment management experience, preferably in investment data, analytics, or investment operations.
• Strong project management, process management, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and professional judgment skills.
• Deep understanding of investment data usage and broad knowledge of equity, fixed income, derivative security types, data methodologies, and industry standards.
• Experience with descriptive, diagnostic, and regression analysis and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a demanding environment.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake, Bloomberg PORT, Charles River Investment Manager Solution, Eagle Investment Systems, FactSet, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Python and SQL experience.
• CFA designation, progress toward the CFA, or interest in pursuing it.
