Senior Process Engineer, Commercialization & Scale-Up

Location: Remote - USA; variable travel to assigned manufacturing sites is required around commercialization and launch milestones.

What you will do

• Translate new formulas from bench-top gold-standard samples through plant trials, first production runs, and continuous improvement.
• Engineer mixing sequences, shear, time and temperature, blend order, and equipment parameters for tumble, ribbon, paddle, and V-blenders, augers, and packaging lines.
• Build and maintain process flows, critical parameters, and equipment documentation to support transfers between manufacturing sites.
• Partner with formulation and New Product Launch teams to assess manufacturability, equipment capability, capacity, throughput, and launch readiness.
• Provide process-side technical support for production troubleshooting and interpret process performance against sensory and quality targets.
• Support root-cause investigations and build collaborative technical relationships with co-manufacturer quality, engineering, and operations teams.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in process or manufacturing engineering, formulation scale-up, or a closely related technical role.
• Experience in food, beverage, or nutritional products manufacturing, including formulation scale-up from bench to pilot to first production.
• Strong working knowledge of blending and processing equipment, RTD products, and the effect of equipment differences on formulation processes.
• Ability to create clear process documentation and translate process requirements into practical manufacturing standards.
• Ability to build trust-based relationships with manufacturing partners and handle direct, difficult conversations.
• Comfort with variable travel to assigned manufacturing sites during commercialization and launch milestones.

Nice to have

• Experience with ingredient suppliers or contract manufacturing.
