Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

Location: Olen, Belgium, region Kempen; onsite presence required with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite

What you will do

• Lead the electrical and instrumentation discipline from feasibility studies through commissioning and handover.
• Provide technical leadership and coordinate E&I activities within multidisciplinary industrial investment projects of up to €30 million.
• Make technical decisions on materials and applications, considering environmental factors and process requirements.
• Interpret electrical diagrams, cable calculations in Caneco, SIL, PL, and Exi calculations, providing technical solutions where needed.
• Prepare technical specifications and tender documents, define and monitor budgets, and track project schedules and milestones.
• Support process-installation projects, including battery-related projects, and travel occasionally within Europe and Asia for project follow-up.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering.
• At least 7 years of E&I engineering experience in the process industry, including at least 3 years in a leading E&I role.
• Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation, ATEX guidelines and applications, electrical diagrams, and Caneco cable calculations.
• Experience interpreting SIL safety calculations and Exi calculations; basic knowledge of hardware and automation is required, with no programming experience needed.
• Fluent Dutch and fluent English are required.
• Independent, proactive, solution-oriented, diplomatic, and able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at different levels.
