What you will do

• Manage and optimize Ubuntu and RHEL Linux server fleets supporting high-concurrency production environments.
• Configure and tune Nginx and Apache web server platforms, including reverse proxy and load-balancing infrastructure.
• Optimize Linux networking, kernel parameters, socket buffers, file descriptors, and system resources.
• Maintain Postfix messaging, CUPS printing, and related hardware and software integrations.
• Harden systems using SELinux, AppArmor, firewalls, and SSH security practices.
• Monitor ETL and data replication workflows, support SQL Server connectivity, and troubleshoot application and network performance issues.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience administering Ubuntu and RHEL in high-concurrency production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux system tuning, networking, kernel parameters, and web server performance.
• Experience with Linux security hardening, including SELinux, AppArmor, SSH, and firewall configuration.
• Familiarity with Postfix, CUPS, ETL pipelines, data replication, and SQL Server or similar databases.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting COBOL-based applications and legacy system integration.
• Knowledge of site reliability engineering practices.
• Experience with Bash, Python, Perl, cloud environments, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Background supporting enterprise POS systems and related infrastructure.
