Global Travel and Expense Lead (AI)

Location: New York, hybrid; frequent travel support spans global regions, with a significant portion originating in EMEA.

Salary: $195K–$279K plus equity.

What you will do

• Build and operate the global travel and expense program, including policies, processes, providers, systems, and traveler support.
• Support frequent client travel involving complex itineraries, last-minute changes, cancellations, disruptions, and regional escalation paths.
• Improve international booking and payment workflows, especially for EMEA-origin travel, while addressing pricing, availability, currency, and local-market constraints.
• Own expense and corporate card operations, including onboarding, access, limits, exceptions, accounting handoffs, reconciliation, and close support.
• Manage travel suppliers, service expectations, sourcing, group travel, room blocks, and shared supplier arrangements.
• Use data, automation, and AI to improve service, reduce manual work, monitor costs by client or project, and identify recurring problems.

Requirements

• Experience managing professional-services or consulting travel involving frequent client trips, changing schedules, and time-sensitive delivery.
• Substantial experience with EMEA-origin travel and international booking, payment, and local-market conditions.
• Ownership of travel and expense workflows across suppliers, policies, corporate cards, and accounting processes.
• Ability to independently build and manage a program, prioritize improvements, establish reliable processes, and remain accountable for results.
• Strong service mindset and judgment when balancing safety, confidentiality, cost, business needs, and urgent travel issues.
• Ability to build relationships with travelers, business leaders, Finance, and external providers.

Nice to have

• Experience with Navan or comparable travel platforms.
• Experience with multi-currency programs, supplier sourcing, group travel, or client-cost allocation.
