Senior Mechanical Engineer, DFM

What you will do

• Lead DFM reviews across sheet metal, injection molding, machining, die casting, stamping, assembly, and after-sales requirements.
• Develop process routes and assembly solutions from prototype verification and small-batch trials through formal mass production.
• Resolve structural and process issues, analyze root causes, and improve production yield and delivery performance for batch projects.
• Manage mold, tooling, jig, and fixture reviews, supplier coordination, acceptance, reuse, and modularization.
• Drive structural-part cost reduction through material selection, process optimization, and structural integration.
• Build standardized design rules, parts libraries, process specifications, and reusable design-to-mass-production guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical design and manufacturing, material forming, mechatronics, or a related field.
• More than three years of experience in structural processes, DFM, or mass-production structural development, including full product development from R&D to mass production.
• Proficiency with 3D design software such as SolidWorks or Creo, familiarity with ANSYS, and the ability to complete modeling, drawings, and basic strength verification independently.
• Proficiency in at least two of sheet metal, injection molding, machining, and stamping, including their design rules, cost structures, and typical defects.
• Understanding of mold development, BOM structure, material selection, mold reviews, and trial-production issue analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, mass-production, and cost-awareness skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with unmanned delivery robots, intelligent mobile devices, automation equipment, commercial smart hardware, robotic arms, wireless charging modules, or intelligent delivery terminals.
• Experience leading DFM optimization and mass-production introduction for batches of 100 units or more with measurable cost or efficiency improvements.
• Familiarity with DFMEA, PFMEA, ISO9001, or IATF16949.
• Experience building enterprise-level DFM specifications and standardized parts libraries.
