Mechanical Engineer (Rack & PDU Systems)

What you will do

• Lead engineering projects for rack and power distribution unit systems, including high-power rack solutions.
• Design and integrate mechanical, electrical, thermal, and regulatory requirements for scalable HPC infrastructure.
• Drive project schedules, deliverables, program milestones, risks, trade-offs, and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners as the primary technical liaison.
• Support the transition from design to production, resolve manufacturing and assembly issues, and address field escalations and complex customer requests.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability development.

Requirements

• Doctorate with no required related experience, or a master's degree with 3 years of related experience, or a bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience.
• Strong foundation in mechanical design and analysis, including solid mechanics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, mechanics of materials, and finite element analysis.
• Proficiency with CAD tools; Creo is preferred.
• Experience with FEA software; Ansys is preferred.
• Hands-on experience designing electromechanical assemblies, ideally at the rack-system level.
• Experience managing projects, driving schedules under compressed timelines, communicating with stakeholders, and resolving production or installed-base issues.

• Familiarity with cooling technologies for server racks.
