Mechanical Design Engineer (Computer Hardware)

What you will do

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for high-performance computer servers.
• Create 3D-printed prototypes to support iterative design and testing.
• Coordinate manufacturing, field installation, and retrofit activities.
• Analyze technical issues and implement timely, cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare engineering drawings, manuals, and other technical documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, customers, and suppliers to define mechanical requirements and support development initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of professional experience in mechanical and structural design.
• Experience designing for high-volume manufacturing, including stamping, injection molding, sheet metal, or die-cutting.
• Knowledge of metals, alloys, and plastics.
• Proficiency with Creo or another 3D CAD system, plus experience with DFM, DFA, and statistical tolerance analysis.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate effectively across teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with structural FEA, such as Creo Simulate.
• Knowledge of the computer hardware industry.
