Manly Fast Ferry and Fantasea Cruising operate within the hirify.global and form part of Sydney's transport and tourism system.

What you will do

• Navigate and operate the vessel safely in compliance with maritime regulations and company guidelines.
• Manage the vessel and crew before, during, and after operations, including attendance, performance, cleanliness, and service readiness.
• Maintain vessel systems, machinery, auxiliary systems, paperwork, and operational records.
• Ensure passenger safety and satisfaction while directing crew members in their duties.
• Manage vessel security, security screening, breach reports, threats, and emergency situations.
• Lead crew training, drills, compliance activities, and safe work culture reporting.

Requirements

• Current Master <45m qualification and current MED2, both at minimum.
• Certificate of Local Knowledge for Port Jackson.
• Current First Aid Certificate and Certificate of Medical Fitness from AMSA or an equivalent authority.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Sound line-handling, seamanship, vessel-handling, and machinery-maintenance skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational, self-motivation, and personal-presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Responsible Service of Alcohol certification.
