Safety, Health & Wellbeing Lead NSW (Workplace Health & Safety/Hospitality): Leading the implementation, monitoring, and review of the safety, health, and wellbeing strategy across ALH Hotels operational teams in NSW with an accent on incident investigations, risk assessments, compliance, and workplace wellbeing. Focus on conducting ICAM root cause analysis, preventing workplace injuries, coaching venue teams, and supporting new site openings across the state.
Location: Sydney, NSW, Australia; hybrid working with regular travel to sites across NSW

What you will do
- Partner with state operational teams, site managers, and venue teams to embed safety and wellbeing into daily operations.
- Lead Category 1 and 2 incident investigations using ICAM root cause analysis, support Category 3 and 4 investigations, and implement corrective controls.
- Support WH&S compliance, self-insurance audits, notifiable incident handling, and action-plan closeout.
- Coach onboarding teams and facilitate WH&S training programs across state, area, and site operations.
- Conduct new site opening inspections, hazard identification, and regular site visits across NSW.
- Analyze incident and safety data, develop risk assessments and safety alerts, and implement initiatives supporting physical and mental wellbeing.
Requirements
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety and formal ICAM certification.
- Current valid driver’s licence and availability for regular intrastate travel across NSW.
- Strong knowledge of WH&S legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and hazard management principles.
- Experience in retail or hospitality operations and investigating complex workplace incidents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including training facilitation and stakeholder influence.
- Pragmatic, adaptable, resilient, curious, and committed to inclusive, team-focused outcomes.
