MEMS Product Engineer

Location: Batu Kawan, Pulau Pinang (Penang), Malaysia; onsite

What you will do

• Design manufacturing methods, operation sequences, and processes for parts, component sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
• Implement production standards, layouts, tooling requirements, and processes for new product components.
• Develop cost estimates, capacity models, and tooling and process recommendations.
• Review factory performance indicators and provide recommendations to factory management.
• Collaborate with internal, outsourced manufacturing, and development partners to resolve process, compliance, and manufacturing issues.
• Support project teams in delivering reliable, cost-effective, high-quality manufacturing solutions from new-product introduction through end of lifecycle.

Requirements

• Four-year or graduate degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated competence.
• Typically 2–4 years of experience in engineering design and solutions or a related field, or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing engineering, manufacturing processes, tooling, lean manufacturing, process improvement, and new product development.
• Experience with data analysis, automation, project management, and engineering or systems engineering concepts.
• Ability to work independently on moderate-scope problems, apply professional expertise, and follow company policies and procedures.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma certification.
• APICS certification.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology, Python, software development, supply chain, and electrical or mechanical engineering.
