Mechatronic Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Shah Alam, Malaysia; onsite at ITEC production facilities

What you will do

• Integrate and commission mechatronic modules and die bonding machines.
• Support the setup of the ITEC Malaysia assembly line from a mechatronics perspective.
• Analyze technical issues through measurements and investigations to support troubleshooting, commissioning, and performance improvements.
• Work with internal stakeholders and customers to resolve technical problems and implement practical improvements.
• Support customers and field service engineers with equipment optimization and technical problem-solving.

Requirements

• University degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field, such as mechanical or electrical engineering, with proven mechatronics experience.
• Experience with control and automation systems, including tuning, diagnostics, and measurement.
• Experience using MATLAB and/or Python for data analysis.
• Knowledge of DFM, FMEA, Six Sigma, and 8D methods.
• Strong technical troubleshooting, decision-making, creative-thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Excellent English communication skills and flexibility to travel overseas, including to Hong Kong and the Netherlands.

Nice to have

• A few years of experience in the semiconductor, electronics, RFID, or LED industrial equipment industry.
