Manufacturing Engineer, Graduate

Location: US-SC-Summerville (SAS); onsite role

Salary: $67,400–$82,400 per year

Manufactures turbine-drive and shipboard compression equipment used on U.S. Navy ships for propulsion, power generation, and related ship-service applications.

What you will do

• Establish manufacturing process flows and create or update manufacturing standard procedures and work instructions.
• Analyze labor standards, product and project flow data, equipment requirements, and manufacturing operations to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Support engineering changes, product releases, drawing reviews, and coordination with design, quality, procurement, finance, inspection, program management, and production.
• Manage CNC program files, program machine tools using 3D models and CNC languages, and perform first-time program prove-outs.
• Provide shop support, train and mentor shop personnel, and develop improved processes that reduce rework and cycle time.
• Participate in Kaizen events, process mapping, project readiness reviews, and quotation development.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required due to DoD requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances and approvals.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering, or equivalent; at least one year of manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, CNC machining, welding, or assembly.
• Experience designing tooling and fixtures, using MS Word and Excel, and working with CAD and 3D solid models.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, professionalism, quality focus, and commitment to continuous improvement.
