Cost Engineering Placement (Aerospace)

Location: Filton, Bristol, United Kingdom; hybrid working options may be available depending on the role. Travel to other hirify.global sites or suppliers may be required.

What you will do

• Plan and lead personal and operational costing projects.
• Estimate costs for new aircraft system designs and production activities.
• Evaluate system solutions, designs, and concepts to identify the best value for development.
• Compare costing estimates with supplier quotations and provide analysis for supplier negotiations.
• Develop cost models, reference data, tools, and methods.
• Communicate findings and project updates verbally and in writing while participating in relevant training.

Requirements

• Must be an undergraduate for the full 12.5-month placement and provide the expected graduation date.
• Studying Aerospace, Electrical and Electronic, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Systems, or Industrial Engineering, or another relevant business or technical degree.
• Ability to manage own activities and work with a multi-skilled, transnational team.
• Interest in design, manufacturing processes, global supply chains, and business impact.
• Proactive approach with motivation to learn and develop.
• Proficient written and spoken English is required.
