Manufacturing Team Leader (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Christchurch, Dorset, United Kingdom. Hybrid working, flexitime, and a condensed work week are available depending on the role.

Defense Solutions division delivering aerospace and defense products, including flight recorders, air data computers, mission displays, and related avionics systems.

What you will do

• Lead a team responsible for product assembly, testing, inspection, rework, and repair.
• Drive performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Ensure adherence to documented business processes and the company Quality Management System.
• Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement resolutions.
• Complete HR administration and support a safe, collaborative, and productive team environment.
• Support the area Supervisor with operational duties as required.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in electronic or pneumatic engineering and electrical or mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment, or appropriate qualifications.
• Experience leading a diverse, multi-skilled manufacturing team.
• Relevant experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of MRP systems.
• Computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• The position may involve access to export-controlled information and additional security screening.
