Quality Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Prestwick, Ayrshire, United Kingdom; site-based (100%). Occasional travel required.

Salary: £38,466 per year.

What you will do

• Manage Quality Engineering activities for assigned projects and support operational quality requirements.
• Support corrective and preventive action processes, root-cause analysis, and resolution of internal, customer, and supplier non-conformances.
• Support production quality processes in line with customer and regulatory requirements, including EASA Part 21G and AS9100 Rev D.
• Develop and maintain inspection planning, Last Article Inspection, First Article Inspection/Verification, and delegated source inspection programmes.
• Support PFMEA, Control Plans, Statistical Process Control, APQP, and PPAP activities.
• Manage the Material Review Board process and ensure effective corrective actions are completed.

Requirements

• HNC or equivalent qualification in a related discipline.
• Experience in aerospace or an equivalent manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge and practical use of standard quality tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of AS9100 Rev D and regulatory authority approval and certification requirements.
• Awareness of engineering systems, technical drawings, and customer systems used by organisations such as Boeing and Airbus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
