Facilities Engineer Placement (Aerospace)

Location: Filton, Bristol, United Kingdom. The placement lasts 12.5 months and starts on 16 August 2027. The role is site-based; flexible and hybrid working options may be available depending on the role.

What you will do

• Support facilities projects from initial requests through feasibility studies, delivery, and handover.
• Help maintain complex site infrastructure and coordinate subcontractors during installation and commissioning.
• Review facility performance data and support Opex and Capex budgeting.
• Support energy-efficiency, carbon-reduction, and other sustainability initiatives.
• Track maintenance downtime and sustainability metrics, define KPIs, and report performance.
• Contribute to tender documentation, site audits, safety reviews, and compliance activities.

Requirements

• Undergraduate status must be maintained for the entire placement.
• Currently studying Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a closely related discipline.
• Interest in data analysis, continuous improvement, and environmental sustainability.
• Good communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Successful candidates must undergo a BPSS check and may need UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control approval.
