Filton Plant Production Support Placement (Aerospace)

Location: Filton, Bristol, United Kingdom; hybrid working options may be available depending on the role.

hirify.global Defence and Space operates an aerospace industrial environment, with the Filton plant supporting the A400M Wing, A350 Equipped Gear Beam, and Wing Technology Development Centre.

What you will do

• Facilitate funded projects focused on reducing work content and improving performance.
• Support the financial CapEx submission process for new and innovative projects.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor with Operations, manufacturing engineering, and digital functions.
• Support local rate readiness for tooling, equipment, and facilities.
• Assist the Head of Department with resource planning and strategic activities.
• Build a network of stakeholders across operational areas and support functions.

Requirements

• Must remain an undergraduate for the full duration of the 12.5-month placement.
• Study towards a degree in Business, Engineering, a technical field, or an equivalent subject.
• Communicate effectively and create robust, informative presentations.
• Confidently lead key sessions and present findings.
• Show an interest in coding and digital tools, together with a strong interest in self-development.
• Successful candidates will be subject to BPSS screening and may require UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control approval, depending on the role.
