Operations Analyst Placement (12.5 months) (Aerospace)

Location: Brize Norton, United Kingdom. Full-time 12.5-month placement starting 19 July 2027. Hybrid working options may be available depending on the role.

hirify.global Defence and Space operates the Atlas Integrated Operations Centre, which supports the Royal Air Force A400M fleet through technical, logistical, and fleet data analysis.

What you will do

• Track RAF A400M fleet metrics, aircraft availability, maintenance logs, and operational KPIs.
• Build and update visual dashboards and generate performance reports for operational leadership.
• Clean, structure, merge, and analyze datasets from engineering, military, and logistics systems.
• Automate data collection and reporting workflows and document data workflows and standard operating procedures.
• Investigate trends, perform root-cause analysis, and identify fleet delays, data silos, and operational bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with maintenance planners, operations personnel, and logistics personnel to implement standardized improvements.

Requirements

• Undergraduate status must be maintained for the full duration of the placement.
• Currently enrolled in a degree program; relevant fields include data analytics, business intelligence, computer science, information systems, statistics, mathematics, or quantitatively focused business administration.
• Ability to manipulate, clean, and structure raw data, with strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Experience with Google Workspace, including Sheets, Forms, and Apps Script for workflow automation.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models, plus advanced Excel skills including Power Query and pivot tables.
• Ability to work autonomously, communicate findings clearly, present to stakeholders, and troubleshoot technical issues independently.

Nice to have

• Penultimate-year student status.
• Project-based experience; prior internships are not required.
• Experience with SQL and Python.
