Portfolio Analyst (AI)

Location: Leeds, UK — hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home

Salary: Great starting salary + 10% bonus

What you will do

• Extract, analyse, and interpret data from multiple sources.
• Support portfolio performance, profitability, and pricing analysis.
• Produce management information, reporting packs, quarterly business reviews, and strategic reporting.
• Support pricing model calibration and performance monitoring.
• Create dashboards and analytical tools to improve insight generation.
• Identify portfolio trends, opportunities, and emerging risks while working with underwriters and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in a numerical discipline such as mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, physics, or data science.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Advanced Excel capability.
• Experience with SQL, Python, Databricks, or similar data tools.
• Ability to manipulate and interpret large datasets.
• Willingness to learn, develop, and take ownership of work.

Nice to have

• Experience in an analytical, actuarial, pricing, or data-focused role.
• Knowledge of insurance or financial services.
• Experience building reports, dashboards, or visualisations.
• Interest in AI, automation, and emerging technologies.
• Proactive approach and willingness to challenge existing ways of working.
