LPN (Wellness Nurse) Weekend Warriors (Senior Living)

Location: 19 Constitution Way, Litchfield, Connecticut, United States; onsite, recurring weekend-focused schedule that may run from Thursday through Monday according to community needs.

Salary: $34.00–$35.00 per hour

What you will do

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise daily nursing activities performed by care staff.
• Monitor residents’ health, safety, and well-being, including residents with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
• Assist with training and monitoring medication administration.
• Maintain clinical quality assurance and compliance with federal, state, local, and community standards.
• Supervise care staff and participate in scheduled in-service training.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and a current nursing license.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, techniques, methods, and applicable federal and state regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and use Microsoft Office, including Windows, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, communicate, and perform other physical duties required for resident care.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds and properly support residents using safe body mechanics.

Nice to have

• At least two years of experience in long-term care, assisted living, home health, or a hospital setting.
• Experience caring for residents with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias.
