Registered Nurse, Occupational Health - PRN

Location: Onsite at a Health Center in Richmond, Virginia, United States. Support is required across day, evening, and overnight shifts; orientation must be attended on the day shift.

Salary: $40.00–$50.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Evaluate, treat, and prioritize care for client employees within the scope of practice.
• Provide evidence-based care to injured workers and coordinate case management, return-to-work, and transitional duty programs.
• Perform and document occupational health tests, screenings, physical evaluations, and treatments, including EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing.
• Administer medications and emergency care, maintain patient records and medical equipment, and follow infection control procedures.
• Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow-up care.
• Support accident investigations, workplace safety initiatives, injury prevention programs, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an Associate degree in nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required; ACLS may be required depending on the contract scope.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in occupational health, emergency, or ambulatory care.
• Experience with workplace health and safety strategies, hazard mitigation, health screenings, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and return-to-work exams.
• Strong clinical and phlebotomy skills, independent working ability, and availability across assigned shifts are required.

Nice to have

• Occupational health experience.
• Certification in Occupational Health, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
