Product Operations Manager, Embedded (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA; New York City, NY; or Seattle, WA. Hybrid work is expected, with staff required to be in an office at least 25% of the time.

Annual salary: $240,000–$260,000 USD

What you will do

• Own launch readiness, launch calendars, go/no-go reviews, risk tracking, and cross-functional sign-offs.
• Run early access and beta programs, define learning objectives, coordinate tester feedback, and lead retrospectives.
• Program-manage new model launches by tracking readiness goals, testing and evaluation coverage, issue triage, prompting changes, and retrospectives.
• Turn customer and user feedback into prioritized product signals, identify blocked customers or cohorts, and improve shared feedback systems.
• Run planning, business reviews, goal tracking, offsites, and operating processes across Product, Research, Legal, Safeguards, Security, and GTM.
• Build Claude-powered triage tools, dashboards, skills, and agents, then share reusable operating patterns across Product Operations.

Requirements

• End-to-end ownership of an operational program such as launches, early access, feedback, or planning.
• Experience building processes from zero to one and simplifying them as they scale.
• Experience working embedded with product leadership and influencing teams without formal authority.
• Hands-on experience shipping Claude or other LLM-powered workflows, writing prompts, iterating on outputs, and describing model behavior.
• Direct experience managing evaluations, refining system prompts, adapting harnesses to new models, and working with cloud providers in partnership or GTM capacities.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and experience in a relevant field; commitment to safe AI deployment.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI Safety and Safeguards.
• Program management experience for model launches or model quality in an application-layer AI product.
• Experience running early access, beta, or design partner programs.
• Background in product management, technical program management, chief of staff, or strategy and operations at a startup or fast-growing product company.
