Product Manager, Developer Platform (AI)

Location: United States; based at the San Francisco or New York hub, or remotely within the United States. In-person onboarding is required if hired.

Annual base salary: $169,000–$303,000 USD

What you will do

• Define and drive strategy for Figma’s developer platform, including major investments, build-versus-buy decisions, and sequencing.
• Shape the design-to-code platform connecting Figma’s SceneGraph with customer Makes and production codebases.
• Develop the external platform for AI agents and developer tools through the MCP Server and REST APIs.
• Guide how Figma AI products appear in integrations such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor.
• Influence product roadmaps and partner with engineering managers and technical leads on architecture and UX decisions.
• Engage with product teams, customers, partners, and vendors, translating feedback into platform commitments and identifying cross-cutting problems.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product management experience with highly technical products.
• Experience shipping developer tools, infrastructure products, or AI-powered technical systems.
• Evidence of delivering measurable product quality improvements and moving relevant metrics.
• Hands-on technical fluency, including the ability to read pull requests and participate in architecture discussions.
• Strong systems thinking and technical communication skills.
• Experience driving strategy and execution across ambiguous, fast-moving product areas.
