Senior Software Engineer, Risk (Fintech)

Location: London, UK; hybrid collaboration with managers and teams deciding which 10+ days per month are spent in the office.

What you will do

• Build scalable, fault-tolerant, and resilient cloud solutions using Azure services.
• Develop and modernize liquidity management capabilities providing real-time visibility into cash and liquidity across banks, accounts, currencies, and legal entities.
• Implement unit, integration, performance, and security testing to ensure production-ready software.
• Build observability capabilities for application insights, performance metrics, usage data, and proactive issue resolution.
• Contribute to technical design and code reviews, mentor engineers, and improve engineering practices and technology choices.
• Participate in the you-build-it-you-run-it model, including the on-call pager rotation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of application development experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience with cloud architecture, deployment, and agile development practices.
• Deep expertise in .NET and C#, Microsoft SQL Server, and Azure services.
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
• Ability to influence and mentor developers, collaborate with technical and non-technical partners, and solve problems independently.
• Experience with distributed systems and robust, scalable software engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, treasury systems, payments, FX, ERP, or financial platforms.
• Understanding of high-volume transactional processing architectures.
