C# Developer (.NET)

Location: Home-based in the UK, England; flexible or hybrid arrangements may be available depending on the position.

What you will do

• Develop high-performance back-end features using C#/.NET and Microsoft technologies.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure solutions.
• Build or contribute to .NET Web APIs and microservices-based solutions.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve defects and production issues.
• Maintain code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and engineering standards.
• Share knowledge and collaborate with Business Analysts, engineers, and colleagues across the business.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience developing object-oriented software with C# and .NET 8 or later.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented principles, SOLID, and common design patterns.
• Experience with .NET Web APIs and an understanding of microservices architectures.
• Experience using Azure DevOps or GitHub for source control, work tracking, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Agile practices and participation in stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Exposure to cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure, and an enthusiastic approach to learning and delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Service Bus or similar messaging systems.
• Exposure to document databases such as Cosmos DB or MongoDB.
• Awareness of containerised applications and monitoring tools such as Application Insights.
