Pre Sales Engineer - DACH

Location: Munich, Germany; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in the office. The role includes 10–30% travel depending on demand.

What you will do

• Partner with Account Executives to progress opportunities from discovery through close and secure the technical win.
• Lead discovery, requirements analysis, technical evaluations, demonstrations, architectural discussions, and proof-of-concept work.
• Explain the platform’s value to shop-floor teams, business leaders, C-level executives, and IT stakeholders.
• Build Business Value Assessments connecting operational improvements with financial outcomes.
• Prepare proposals, RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, technical assessments, and security questionnaires.
• Scope and estimate implementation projects, provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering, and improve playbooks, demo environments, evaluation frameworks, and internal AI tooling.

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of enterprise SaaS pre-sales experience as a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or equivalent.
• Experience working with manufacturing companies and supporting digital transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of manufacturing systems such as MES/MoM, LES/LIMS, WMS, QMS, ERP, SPC, and IIoT.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting from the shop floor to the C-suite.
• Fluency in English and German is required; candidates must live in the Munich area.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science. An MS or MBA is a plus.

• Experience with AI coding assistants and modern AI-assisted tools.
