Patient Service Representative (Occupational Health)

Location: McHenry, Illinois, at the occupational health clinic on the McHenry hospital campus; travel to Huntley, Woodstock, and Lake Forest is required. Onsite, full-time day shifts of 8 hours, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or major holidays.

Salary: $19.02–$26.63 per hour.

What you will do

• Greet patients and guests, confirm identities, and provide visit information.
• Complete patient check-in, check-out, registration, and appointment scheduling.
• Update demographic and insurance information and obtain required consents and authorizations.
• Collect co-payments, balances, and point-of-service payments; process billing information and close the daily cash drawer.
• Communicate appointment delays or changes and maintain a clean, comfortable waiting area.
• Travel to other locations or departments to provide coverage as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 0–2 years of customer service experience.
• Availability for 40 hours per week on weekday day shifts.
• Ability to work onsite in McHenry and travel to Huntley, Woodstock, and Lake Forest.
• Compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and background-check requirements.

Nice to have
