Open Innovation Development Manager EU Lip (Color Cosmetics)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; the role is based in the Amsterdam office.

What you will do

• Co-lead strategy for assigned color cosmetics categories, including portfolio gaps, renovations, upgrades, and new initiatives.
• Build and manage a three-year-plus innovation pipeline and global launch roadmap for lip products.
• Scout external innovation through suppliers, third-party manufacturers, industry partners, trade shows, and events.
• Monitor beauty trends, emerging technologies, competitive launches, formulas, ingredients, claims, and shade palettes.
• Develop commercially driven product concepts and partner with brand teams, R&D, CMI, TPMs, and other functions through commercialization.
• Evaluate manufacturing pathways, support formula and shade development, and contribute to SKU rationalization, packaging, and competitive analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree in Business, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field is preferred.
• At least five years of experience in cosmetic and skincare development, with a strong background in lip products.
• Experience working with third-party manufacturers and managing external partnerships.
• Strong understanding of beauty, color cosmetics, and lip products, with the ability to translate trends into successful launches.
• Strategic, analytical, creative, and organized approach with strong project management, decision-making, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
