Technical Lead (AI)

Location: Hybrid; candidates within commuting distance of a Diligent office are expected to work onsite at least 50% of the time. Office hubs are located in New York City, Washington D.C., Vancouver, London, Galway, Budapest, Munich, Bengaluru, Singapore, and Sydney.

What you will do

• Lead the architecture and development of scalable Node.js services, APIs, and business-critical platform capabilities.
• Design and operate secure, scalable AWS infrastructure with AWS CDK and TypeScript across multiple environments.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and modern DevOps practices.
• Drive cloud-native modernization, clean architecture, refactoring, and technical debt reduction.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL and MSSQL solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Mentor engineers and establish software engineering, cloud, and DevOps standards across teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience delivering and operating scalable software systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, React, REST APIs, and modern backend architecture.
• Mandatory production experience with AWS, including EC2/ECS, Lambda, S3, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, clean architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and influencing engineering standards across teams.
• Experience with Docker, ECS, GitHub Actions, observability platforms, AWS CDK or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools, and cloud-native modernization.

Nice to have

• Experience with Datadog or Grafana, cloud security, compliance, FinOps, or multi-account AWS environments.
• Familiarity with AWS Bedrock, RAG, LLM-based applications, serverless architectures, and AI-enabled cloud-native systems.
