What you will do

• Define IT strategies and architecture solutions for core banking and financial services clients.
• Design and deliver modern architectures with strong scalability, resilience, observability, and security.
• Own large, technically complex project modules from end to end.
• Define target architectures, reference architectures, technology roadmaps, and architecture governance.
• Lead architects, guide junior team members, and influence senior technology and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to project proposals, client relationships, practice development, and the BCG brand.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a Lead Technology, Solution, or Enterprise Architect in financial services.
• Significant experience designing and delivering core banking transformation programmes in consulting or client-facing roles.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, event-driven architecture, messaging, synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns, DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience with core banking platforms such as Temenos Transact, Finacle, FIS Profile, Oracle FLEXCUBE, Avaloq, Thought Machine, Mambu, 10x Banking, Engine by Starling, or relevant Fiserv solutions.
• Deep understanding of banking capabilities including onboarding, customer information management, deposits, lending, payments, product catalogue, general ledger, digital banking, open banking, and regulatory reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Nice to have

• TOGAF or other professional architecture certification.
• Cloud certifications.
