Actuarial Analyst

Location: Hybrid role based in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Irvine, or Denver, with at least three days per week in the office or onsite with clients

What you will do

• Analyze healthcare data using spreadsheet and database management software.
• Develop client communications, proposals, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
• Perform cost projections using client cost and enrollment data with valuation models.
• Price medical and prescription drug plan designs using proprietary tools.
• Model alternate plan design, program, and employee contribution scenarios to support employer financial targets.
• Build foundational underwriting and actuarial skills in health plan design, cost factors, and industry products.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, or a related field.
• Expected graduation in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Preferred minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 and a commitment to achieving a Society of Actuaries designation.
• Permanent and ongoing legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical, organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of data analysis, project management, and presentation design.

• Advanced programming skills in R, Python, SAS, or SQL.
