Associate Actuary – A&H Pricing, North America

Location: New York, United States; primarily in-office

Base salary: $119,000–$149,000 annually for positions based in New York. New Jersey positions offer $115,000–$145,000 annually. The role is also eligible for a bonus under the applicable incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead technical pricing guidance, product development analytics, performance measurement, and financial reporting for the A&H business.
• Collaborate with Finance, Claims, Operations, Marketing, Underwriting, and other stakeholders to develop and price new products.
• Assess risks and develop mitigation solutions aligned with corporate objectives and regulatory standards.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership and strategic decisions on budgets, product design, portfolios, and business segments.
• Mentor actuaries and analysts while promoting actuarial best practices.
• Manage pricing reporting transformation, budget planning, and reinsurance planning projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of actuarial experience; A&H pricing experience is preferred.
• Advanced Excel, Python, and PowerPoint skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work primarily in the New York office and engage independently with internal and external stakeholders.

Nice to have

• ASA or ACAS designation.
• Experience with R or other data visualization software.
