Senior Actuarial Associate (Insurance)

Location: 100% remote; applicants must reside in the continental United States

What you will do

• Lead complex actuarial research, design methodologies, and conduct audit-level reviews.
• Design, develop, maintain, and own profitability, reserve, valuation, and in-force management models.
• Prepare and validate actuarial memorandums and supporting files for regulators in collaboration with Product, Modeling, and Assumption teams.
• Lead continuous improvement and automation initiatives for actuarial processes and models.
• Analyze actuarial research, experience studies, risk issues, and regulatory developments.
• Represent actuarial functions on risk, product, and finance committees and communicate findings to senior actuaries, claims teams, and regulators.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
• At least three years of experience as an Actuarial Associate, Actuarial Assistant, or in a related position.
• At least three passed actuarial examinations.
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and SAS, plus advanced Excel and VBA.
• Experience with financial reporting, reserve and cash flow testing, GAAP/statutory reporting, stress testing, scenario analysis, and distributable earnings analysis.
• Experience developing actuarial assumptions and models for retirement or group annuity products, including lapse rates, credit rates, cash flow, and asset allocation.
