Senior Engineer - Water Structures

Location: Hybrid role based in Rancho Cordova, California, operating between office and field environments.

Salary: $160,000–$200,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Lead structural design and analysis for water and wastewater facilities, including treatment plants, pump stations, reservoirs, tanks, and hydraulic structures.
• Serve as the technical lead on multidisciplinary projects and ensure compliance with client requirements, codes, and industry standards.
• Prepare structural calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents for rehabilitation and new facility projects.
• Perform condition assessments and structural evaluations of existing water infrastructure.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, process, and geotechnical engineers on integrated designs.
• Provide construction-phase services, technical reviews, client support, mentoring, and business development assistance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of structural engineering experience involving water, wastewater, transportation, or other public infrastructure projects.
• Project management experience with water resources and related structures, including public-sector projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Active California Structural Engineer license or ability to obtain California licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams, subconsultants, and internal staff.
• Strong written and verbal communication, independent work skills, attention to detail, and client-service ability.
