Engineering Manager (Electronics Manufacturing)

Location: Manufacturing site near San Francisco, with Oakland as a secondary market; occasional travel to other sites is required.

Salary: $128,363–$192,954 base salary per year, plus a performance-related bonus plan.

What you will do

• Define and execute technical strategy aligned with site and organizational objectives.
• Lead engineering activities, manufacturing process optimization, and equipment and tooling implementation.
• Resolve complex engineering and production challenges through hands-on technical leadership.
• Drive improvements in safety, quality, throughput, cost performance, and operational efficiency.
• Manage capital projects from planning and budgeting through execution and validation.
• Lead root-cause analysis, corrective actions, standardization, and development of engineering talent.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or a related engineering field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 8–12+ years of engineering experience with demonstrated leadership responsibility.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably high-volume operations.
• Strong expertise in mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, equipment design, reliability engineering, and process optimization.
• Experience leading engineering teams or cross-functional projects, including capital projects and equipment implementation.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, CAD, simulation tools, and manufacturing systems such as ERP or MES.

Nice to have

• Experience in batch chemical manufacturing.
• Experience in multi-site or matrixed organizations.
