Multi-skilled Mechanical Technician (HVAC)

Location: London and Brookmans Park, United Kingdom; site-based role with participation in a 24/7 on-call rota

What you will do

• Install, service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair air-conditioning, refrigeration, air-handling, water, plumbing, and building utility systems.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance, reactive repairs, daily building inspections, and helpdesk tasks within required SLAs.
• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, stock records, safety documentation, and compliance paperwork.
• Manage and support external vendors on site, coordinate with the building services manager, and communicate with customers and suppliers.
• Respond to emergency faults, major breakdowns, and business-critical plant issues while minimising disruption and risk.
• Participate in the 24/7 on-call rota and support the building services team as required.

Requirements

• Commercial planned preventive and reactive maintenance experience in building services.
• Knowledge of FCUs, AHUs, HVAC plant, BMS controls, VRV systems, heat pumps, water treatment, calorifiers, and humidifiers.
• Experience with mechanical pipework, plumbing, air-ventilation systems, fault finding, and remedial repairs.
• Apprentice-trained City & Guilds Level 3 mechanical qualification or equivalent.
• City & Guilds F-Gas Category 1 certification and City & Guilds-accredited Legionella control training required.
• IT literacy with Excel, Word, Outlook, CAFM, and BMS, plus strong customer service, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
