What you will do

  • Lead HMIS training development, delivery, capacity building, and professional development for approximately 8,000 end users.
  • Supervise approximately five HMIS trainers and provide feedback and professional growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate with CoC HMIS and data leadership, vendors, technical support teams, and other partners to identify and address knowledge gaps.
  • Design and deliver in-person and virtual training using instructional design methods and adult learning principles.
  • Track training compliance, deliver remedial training, and maintain knowledge of HUD and CoC requirements covering data standards, reporting, privacy, and security.
  • Establish training quality metrics, feedback loops, and continuous improvement processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in learning and development, education, public policy, business or public administration, urban planning, social work administration, or a related field; an advanced degree is strongly preferred.
  • At least five years of experience developing and delivering training and capacity-building materials, preferably for HMIS or a comparable information technology platform.
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical partners and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Role is available in the Los Angeles Area or as a nationwide remote position within the United States.

Nice to have

  • Experience translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences using evidence-informed practices and adult learning principles.
  • Experience with HMIS software, HUD requirements, or comparable information technology platforms.
