IT Lead (AI)

Location: Remote, US-based; must live on the East or West Coast and be able to travel to San Francisco. Significant hours overlap with an Americas time zone is required.

Salary: $185,000–$220,000 for CA, WA, NY, NJ, and CT; $157,500–$187,000 for all other US states.

What you will do

• Own identity and employee lifecycle operations across Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, and the HRIS-driven access pipeline.
• Manage the Mac-first MDM fleet, passwordless authentication, onboarding, offboarding, support, and security incident assistance.
• Operate AI-assisted triage and self-service systems, using automation to reduce recurring manual IT work.
• Govern a 50+ tool SaaS stack, IT budget, vendors, and company administration of Claude and ChatGPT accounts.
• Maintain IT-owned SOC 2 controls and audit-ready evidence generated by operational systems.

Requirements

• Experience independently owning IT for 200+ employees, including Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, and an unattended HRIS-driven lifecycle.
• Experience operating a production Mac fleet under MDM, including a migration or baseline rebuild.
• Experience administering ChatGPT, Claude, or comparable AI tools and building automations with measurable results.
• Strong automation skills across scripting, APIs, logs, and administration consoles.
• Practical security judgment and experience working in a SOC 2 environment.
• Must live in the US on the East or West Coast, overlap significantly with an Americas time zone, and be able to travel to San Francisco.

Nice to have

• AWS IAM Identity Center, Terraform, or other configuration-as-code experience.
• Office buildouts, BYOD policy rollouts, international contractors, Windows, or ChromeOS experience.
