Senior IT Project Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Lead IT and professional services projects through the full system development life cycle, from requirements and design through deployment and post-implementation support.
• Manage information systems such as Medicaid Management Information Systems, eligibility and enrollment systems, enrollment broker platforms, learning management systems, web portals, and data and reporting solutions.
• Define project scope, deliverables, schedules, resources, budgets, forecasts, invoices, and financial performance for projects of $500,000 or more.
• Apply Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, or hybrid delivery methods, including backlog, sprint, and release planning.
• Coordinate clients, vendors, subcontractors, business analysts, developers, solution architects, QA, organizational change management, and training teams.
• Manage requirements traceability, integrations, risks, testing, defect triage, go/no-go decisions, CMS certification, APDs, and IV&V reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or project/program management, or equivalent experience.
• PMP certification and at least 7 years of experience managing IT projects for external customers, including at least 5 years managing system implementations.
• Experience managing IT projects exceeding $500,000 and delivering at least one large-scale implementation from requirements through go-live.
• Working knowledge of software development, system integration, APIs, data flows, cloud-based implementations, and SaaS.
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or ServiceNow.
• Ability to use AI responsibly and effectively for project planning, documentation, analysis, communication, and routine project management activities.

Nice to have

• Agile certification such as PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster, or SAFe.
• Health and Human Services or Medicaid systems experience, including MMIS, eligibility and enrollment, enrollment broker, or data and reporting systems.
