Forward Deployed AI Engineer (Palantir)

Location: Dallas, TX, United States; travel to client sites may be required up to 25%.

What you will do

• Design, build, optimize, and deploy production-grade LLM workflows, data pipelines, and generative AI tools using Palantir AIP and Foundry.
• Model enterprise domain logic in Palantir Ontologies and connect LLM tools and agentic reasoning to operational datasets and downstream actions.
• Partner with technical leads and executive stakeholders to translate operational challenges into AI implementations and measurable business outcomes.
• Capture client requirements, field insights, and operational edge cases to improve internal AI platforms and reusable AIP components.
• Prototype, validate, and scale AI solutions and custom interfaces using AIP Logic, Workshop, and Slate.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building and deploying applications on Palantir Foundry and/or Palantir AIP.
• Experience with Palantir Ontology modeling, AIP Logic, Workshop or Slate, and data transformation pipelines.
• Experience developing and deploying LLM, RAG, prompt engineering, and agentic tool-calling solutions.
• Knowledge of ML evaluation methods, guardrails, fine-tuning, and problem decomposition.
• Strong Python skills, including PySpark or Spark for high-volume data transformations, plus proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or C++.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent practical experience, in a relevant technical field; strong client-facing communication skills and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps or CI/CD pipelines.
• Official Palantir certifications such as Foundry Data Engineer, Application Developer, or AIP Specialist.
• Experience deploying AI systems in federal or defense, healthcare, finance, or supply chain environments.
